The match between the ARTHUR INN and RADCLIFFE CC is to be played at the Rose And Crown Manchester Road.
The stick or twist round decided the match at the WHITE HORSE. The WHITE HORSE going first, the first question for one point was : Which Egyptian was secretary general to the UN prior to Annan ? Nobody in the pub knew the answer. Result WHITE HORSE 0 points. The ROSE'S question for one point was : Which famous bridge player and film star was born in Egypt ? Never have I seen a less comparable question , and it was to our advantage. Final information on 'April 25th' page. All teams are asked to attend next weeks final and meeting at HEAP BRIDGE SOCIAL CLUB where a potato pie supper will be issued at the league's expense. Ken |
