SECRETARY'S COMMENTS
Sorry its a little late folks, so without further ado, lets start at the top of the shop at the Shoulder of Mutton & their race to the title against the never say die, Hairy Hounds.

The Hounds were revelling in the rarified atmosphere up the hill in Holcome as they forged a healthy 1st half lead of 22-19.....was an upset on the cards? The Shoulder levelled the score care of a 6-9 Rd 6 & 10 a piece in the stick or twist saw the game all square on 38. The next round saw the pendulum swing firmly in the direction of the defending champs as their individual knowledge earned them a 4 point advantage as they entered the last round & it was more agony for the Hounds as gap widened even further, to what in the end was a comfortable win, 45-53, very well played Jason, Steve, Paul & Andrew??(I\'m guessing?) & comiserations to the Hounds in pushing hard to upset the fine run of form of the Shoulder.

The Dungeon B were still giddy after last weeks result & the fixture list pitted them up against St Marys, not the easiest game to record a famous double...

Its fair to say, they didn\'t reach the dizzy heights of the previous week, in fact they barely got off the ground in the 1st half & the mountain they were climbing just got a whole lot higher as they trailed by a massive 12 points at 12-24

Now this was a game of 2 halves, the Dungeon actually out-scored the hosts in the seocnd half, but the huge defecit would prove unassailable as they went down fighting 34-43 .

The Dungeon made comment of round 8 Q3, it was a bum question (Lady Chatterleys Lover) which I as question master had sussed out as wrong, I assume others didn\'t??

Next up Dungeon A vs the battered & bruised Stopes Cricketers & the beast is never more dangerous than when it is wounded & Phil & Gang were hungry to avenge last weeks shocker...

It was nip & tuck right throughout the game & after 6 rounds it was level pegging at 38 all, but all the hard work by the hosts was cruelly undone in one round with a blank in R7. The Cricketers reply with 8 & its effectively game over & its back to winning ways for Phil, Ken, Tony & Mark care of the high score of the night 54 to a very respectable 45 for The Pinders, Adrian & Marcus??

Last up & The Stopes Roses welcomed Margaret, Peter, Ian & Susan into the inferno, literally the newly installed log burner is hotter than the Sun!!!

RBL were hot to trot tonight & scored heavily, whilst we were always at least 2 points behind, the 15-21 half time score was well deserved. It was more of the same in the second half & it would ultimately prove to be another game where effectively we were undone by the individual rounds, where we have under-performed all season.

Final score an impressive win to the visitors 39-49, well played & we need to swat up on everything individual....

With a 6 point lead as we head into the last 3 games of the league season, it is down to RBL to de-rail Jason & his Argonauts & give the chasing pack of 1 (St Mary\'s) a glimmer of hope in scuppering the leaders & their 100% record.
