SECRETARY'S COMMENTS
I'm still reeling from this weeks results & 1 in particular requires a special mention.

Down at St Marys, we were collectively cussing at the difficulty of the quiz, neither team got to grips with this weeks content. Heads were scratched & brows were furrowed as we wracked our brains & repeatedly failed to convert our efforts into points.

A halfway score of 13 a piece told its own tale & it hardly improved in the second half....an absolute stinker as far as we were concerned & the homesters stumbled over the winning line 35-29 victors.

A paltry tally of only 64 points, how would the rest fayre??

Well down at Rammy British Legion, they made a mockery of our disdain & I take my hat off to them as they managed a mind boggling 61 points, absolutely brilliant!!! The Dungeon Boys could only look on in wonderment as their best efforts yielded 31 & I can't ever recall a bigger winning margin.

Where did you pull that one from Margaret?? WADA have been in touch with me, expect a visit, anytime soon :)

What would have normally stolen the headlines, has to take a back seat tonight, but Hats off to the Hairy Hounds, as they pulled off a famous win down at the Cricketers. Well played Ian, you led from the off & were never behind & after Rd1 there was never less than 6 points in it. What on paper looks like a fairly comfortable win at 49-44

Up at the Shoulder, things weren't going the way of the home team & Jason has given an honest appraisal of how this one slipped through their fingers & Mike & Co, hopped & skipped all the way back to the Dungeon.

Hi paul, yes it was one of those nights again... we had a stinker of a round in the first half where we once again consistently went for the wrong option out of 2 answers and then recovered strongly on the two part questions. However it was still close at that point and so we opted to play safe on the Rhino question which was fairly easy but only gave us 2 points instead of 4... a decision we regretted as we once again went into the last round needing snookers but didn't quite manage the great escape for the 3rd week running and came away with a draw... a fair result on the night which probably left both sides wondering what might have been ... Final scores...45 All!

Well the league is poised on a knife edge & next weeks top of the table clash could be a season defining game for both, bring it on!!!
