Did the Shoulder win, are they still Top Dogs?? Yes they are & with the high score of the night....
Our games against the Hairy Hounds are always a tight affair & tonight would prove no exception. After trailing by 2 points in Rd1, that is pretty much how the game continued. Ultimately very low scoring in the individual rounds would be our un-doing, only garnering a miserly 5 to the Hounds 10. As always, its a pleasure to lock horns with Ian, Dave, Pete & Andy & they proved worthy winners, by a slender 2 points. A resurgent Rammy British Legion, continue to confound us, with an impressive run of late season form & this week they finally relinquished their lowly position & escaped from the bottom spot at the expense of Dungeon A, watch out Shoulder, next weeks local Derby could well be worth buying tickets to watch!!! The Cricketers bounced back in fine form & showed their class by comfortably seeing off St Mary's by 15 points, can they overcome that single point deficit, with only 5 more games to play?? Performance of the week, without a doubt goes to the Shoulder, a return to their impressive best, as they put the Dungeon B Boys to the Sword & recorded a massive 57 points & a huge 26 point winning margin. The extended season has certainly given RBL a new lease of life & things might have been Oh so different if they had discovered this kind of form earlier in the season?? We are almost into the final last few furlongs of the season, I hope the new format has been to everyones liking, its not a big surprise who is leading the field, but can they maintain the momentum as they race nose to nose to the winning post? The Hairy Hounds are chasing hard, can they sneak up on the rails, is there a Devon Loch in the leading pair? Enough of this malarkey, the final few games hold a few fascinating contests & I'm predicting it all going down to the final game. |
