SECRETARY'S COMMENTS
|
Well there's only 1 place to start this weeks waffle & thats at the Stopes, where the visisting RBL B team of Andrea, Trish, Andy & John finally got their just Desserts & registered their 1st win.
The past few weeks they have been knocking on the door, scoring consistently higher & putting in worthy performances without reaping any rewards. Despite trailing by 2 points after 5 rounds, they piled on the points, when the 2 following rounds proved to be disastourous for the Roses, only registering 2 points & it was game over. There's no one more chuffed for them than me, hopefully they can kick on & break the elusive 40 points barrier.....once again congratulations & very well played in finally losing your virginity!! The Hairy Hounds & Dungeoneers shared almost identical scoring as our game for 5 rounds, again a difficult Rd6 saw very low scoring at 7 a piece. The Hounds faltered in the 2nd individual Rd & the game was evenly poised at 37 a piec as the game became a last round shoot out. The Hounds registered 7 to the Dungeons 5 & that was it, a very narrow win & time to relax. The Dungeon contine to lay claim to the covetted trophy of the team losing most games by the slenderest of margins, hard luck fella's. The high scoring game of the night was down in Rammy, as a very healthy 45 saw the A team on the wrong end of a massive 55 by the wounded Cricketers, but very well played both teams rattling up a commendable 100 point aggregate. A similar fate awaited St Mary's who had the quest of trying to upset the Shoulders Applecart. Another healthy scoreline, but the Shoulder march on & are currently quaking in their collective boots at the thought of Mondays nights game Vs the Stopes Roses....NOT!!!! I'm looking for volunteers to set the Presentation Night Quiz. Anybody fancy a punt at setting a light-hearted season finale?? |
