SECRETARY'S COMMENTS
Evening All!!

Only 3 results this week as the Dungeon B were unable to raise a team & thanks to Pete for giving me & St Marys 2 weeks notice of their unavailability.

After last weeks horror show by the top 3, it was imperative they all got back on track & stamped their mark on the title race. Sadly only 2 would register wins & the league has now become a distinctive 2 Horse race.

The Shoulder won by the narrowest of margins over their close rivals the Hairy Hounds & it went down to the wire, with the game being decided on the very last question....the Shoulder know their Fishmongers, or in this case their Eel-Mongers & they pipped Ians Hounds 46-44, Ooooh that's tough luck!!

Meanwhile, back at the Stopes Tavern, the Roses welcomed the current Red-Hot & inform RBL into the lair. On recent history, we were on for a tattering!! RBL have surprised us all over recent weeks & have taken the scalps of all the teams chasing Silverware.

The Roses held their own & held a healthy 5 point lead after 4 rounds. Was there an upset on the cards?? All our hard work was undone in the stick or twist, where we managed a paltry 4 points, whilst the visitors took advantage & registered 10 & roles were reversed as we now trailed by 5 points 32-37. We rallied in Rd7 & as we entered the final round lay all square at 39 across.... & we didn't score another point, BU**GER...we lost 39-46, so near yet so far.

Down at the Dungeon it was a similarly close affair, with the Cricketers taking the spoils by a slender 3 points, winning 38-41

Not a lot in this weeks results, a very close contested affair across all games. The winning margins are very slender & hardly represent the Gulf in points between the top & bottom??

With 3 games to go, its too hard to call....

I know life gets in the way of things, but can the 3 teams with re-arranged games to play, please make sure they are played before the end of the league season, it just makes life a whole lot easier for handicapping.
