SECRETARY'S COMMENTS
|
The top 3 all flexed their collective muscles tonight & the scorelines reflected their lofty positions, registering 54, 58 & 56 points respectively, with the Cricketers once again being the "top dogs" for the 2nd week running & surely ruing their recent uncharacteristic indifferent form, which has denied them their stake to pushing for the top spot.
RBL A are a force to be reckoned with these days & they put on an impressive display. They elected to go 2nd & we felt the questions were loaded slightly in favour of the visitors & never really got out of 2nd gear, the 22 point gap doesn't lie, we were a distant 2nd!!! The Dungeon continue to enjoy a late resurrgance & a series of missed popportunites earlier in the season, losing games by the narrowest of margins, has denied them a much loftier status & I suspect St. Mary's went 2nd & enjoyed the same fate as the Roses, Bridesmaids again!! I pray weekly to see a winning score from the Legion B pop up on my phone, but with the Cricketers in tip top form, tonight was never going to be that week, but as always, they will lick their wounds & come out fighting again next week. I'm sure the Curry in the Mala more than made up for the 2nd defeat on the bounce for Ian's Hairy Hounds, it was a close affair by all accounts, but they failed to halt the Shoulders unbeaten record & with only 3 games left, its looking highly unlikely that the SoM's Halo is going to slip anytime soon. Can I make a polite reminder on behalf of our Treasurer, that 2 teams are still owing their Subs, come on guys, pay up ASAP please. |
