Bury & District Quiz League Week 2

The results are in & whilst we at the Stopes universally condemned the Quiz as being way too tough & slightly imbalanced, after seeing how everyone else faired, our criticism seems to be unfounded!!!

We along with the Dungeon A floundered our way to a 32 all draw, with neither team ever getting out of 1st gear, clearly the subject matter wasn't up our Street.

After Barnstorming their way to a huge points tally last week, the warm glow surrounding the Dungeon B appears to have evaporated away, as they too struggled to come to terms with this weeks content & floundered to a miserly 24 points, but fair play to the Hairy Hounds, they made light work of it, being one of 3 teams to reach 50 points.

The Cricketers made a mockery of our cynicism & amassed a huge haul of 57 points against Rammy B.L. well played Phil & Co. an excellent performance.

The game of the night was played out down at St Mary's where despite a faltering start (not enough questions!!)high scoring from both sides, provided a battle Royal right into the final furlong, with the visiting Shoulder taking the spoils care of a 51-47 win.

Certainly a game we would like to forget in a hurry & as question master I was glad I wasn't involved, my input would have been minimal, lets see what next week brings?
