Bury & District Quiz League Week 20

& so as predicted it goes down to the final game to determine this seasons Champions. The Cricketers were handed a life line when RBL failed to identify the correct London Street on the final question & The Stopes team limped over the winning line & kept their challenge alive. RBL have been on a fantastic run of form & only just failed to maintain their 7 week unbeaten run.

We struggled with tonight's questions & it was compounded by playing 3 handed. But fair play to Marcus, Tony, Bruce & Adrian, they stole lots of our missed opportunities & ultimately punished us to take the spoils.

The Hairy Hounds made light work of the Dungeon Boys & recorded the high score of the night, winning 51-39 & they secure 3rd position in a very competitive season, well played one & all.

The Shoulder knew exactly what they needed to do down at St. Mary's & set about laying the final foundation Stone of yet another title defence. It was business as usual as they recorded the vital win, to keep them a very short nose ahead of the stoic challenge from the Cricketers. Is it all over, can we hear a large lady singing?? Would it be trite of me to mention Wigan & Manchester City....it looks a formality, but one never knows, does one!?*%

The draw for the 1st round of the KO Cup will take place after next weeks game, so be sure to check the web-site for your venue.

The handicapping will be as last year, 2 points difference per position, eg Champs off Scratch, Runners-up off 2, third place 6 etc, etc.
