Bury & District Quiz League Week 21

Semi final night in the Bury Quiz league with both Cricket Clubs at home hoping to carry their bats, Ramsbottom Cricketers came very close by tying match at 52 points only for The League Champions to send down a couple of leg breaks & googlies to take the match on the beer leg credit to the cricketers for taking the game to the wire but The Coach again showed why they are league Champions! Over at the Race Course ground Radcliffe Cricketers hosted The Rose & Crown Starry eyes and it turned out not to be such a close game The Rose chose to bat first and by the second over had realised their mistake! with the fourth over being a disaster for The Rose with the Cricketers playing steadfastly and defending their wicket very well to run out comfortable winners by 11 points! congratulations to both winning teams and commiserations to both losers however their is a silver lining to their cloud I am informed there is a beer festival on next week as the same time as the cup final at the Hairy Hounds so instead of fielding off questions they can imbibe and sample some of the delights on offer! who said there is no justice in the world! see you there!!
