Bury & District Quiz League Week 21

Well then, where do I start?? Lets start at the top of the shop & congratulate the Shoulder of Mutton on they're 3rd successful title win & boy did they cement their tremendous triple with an emphatic & mind boggling score of 61 points to 29 against the Dungeon A.

Its not been easy & it would be remiss of me not to mention the runners up, The Stopes Cricketers (Phil, Ken, Tony & Mark) who have slugged it out toe to toe, week after week & pushed the Shoulder hard over a long season. The top two certainly made sure it went down to the wire & we must also congratulate them both on maintaining the highest level of competitiveness for 21 weeks.

Getting to the top is hard, but staying there & defending your title is even harder. Well done Jason, Steve, Chris, Paul & John??

Apart from the top two registering a decent points tally, its fair to say the rest of us didn't find tonights offerings to our liking!!! I'm still scratching my head at the Shoulders 61, CRAZY!!!

The Cup Draw was carried out at Stopes last night & is as follows:

1 - Dungeon B vs Ramsbottom British Legion
2 - Stopes Roses vs Dungeon A
3 - St Marys vs The Shoulder of Mutton
4 - Hare & Hounds vs Stopes Cricketers.

Here are handicaps for Mondays games. Shoulder - 0 Cricketers - 2 Hairy Hounds - 4 Dungeon A - 6 St Marys Social - 8 Rammy B L - 10 Stopes Roses - 12 Dungeon B - 14

As in time honoured tradition, the handicaps are added to the score at the end of round 1

Good luck in the Cup, some of us need it in Buckets!!

I am on holiday next week, but text & Whatsapp your results to me as usual & I will update the results & make the semi-final round draw from sunny Fuerteventura.

Please note, the 2 venues hosting the semis, will not receive the questions until I return on Sunday 25th, so don't panic.
