Bury & District Quiz League Week 24

Monday May 1st
For the attention of all teams : -
I have received the £60 league fees from 9 of the 11 teams and I am now chasing the outstanding fees from the SWAN AND RAILWAY 'A' and the TOWLER INN.
Please can these teams send their £60 to me as soon as possible.
Cheques payable to Simon Roberts and sent to:

I do not know whether the proposed re-arrangement of the 'The PACK HORSE versus TOWLER INN' league match was played.
Could someone advise me so that I can complete the final league table.

I will be sending question sets for friendlies to the 3 teams not competing in the cup on May 1st

Could teams who won trophies last season ROSE AND CROWN (STAR), RADCLIFFE CC and ROSE & CROWN 'B' (RAM) please bring them to the final of the knockout on the 15th May 2006 which to date I have only one venue proposed, namely the HEAP BRIDGE SOCIAL CLUB.

To date the response to my request for help is:
· Only proposed venue for 15th May, 22nd May, 29th May and 5th June is the Heap Bridge Social Club !
· 2 x entrants for individual 'Brains of Bury' and
· 5 x entrants in the 'Pairs' competition.
Since it is not worth running an evening unless there are at least 10 entrants for such competitions it seems unlikely that these competitions will take place.
I will make a final decision at the knockout final on the 15th May.

Wednesday May 3rd
Final league match PACK HORSE vs TOWLER unable to be played.
Match awarded to PACK HORSE 55-35.

Questions for the semis will be posted tomorrow. I'll try to get some friendlies out to teams also.
I'm away next week so please let me know results asap.
Final will be held at Heap Bridge Social Club on the 15th.
I'll ask Jack if he would be kind enough to read the questions in the final!
Looks like no individual or pairs competitions so I will confirm that presentation night will be on the 22nd, again at Heap Bridge Social Club when I'm back on the 15th!
