Bury & District Quiz League Week 27

The end of season presentation night was well attended and was great fun.The pub type quiz was won by one of the ROSE & CROWN STARLING teams Whooooooooo else ?? There will be a get together sometime around early September to discuss the arrangements for next season and there is likely to be a drive to expand the league. Simon will contact people nearer the time

Congratulations again to ROSE AND CROWN (STARLING) and STOPES TAVERN, the winners of the league and knockout competitions.

Wally Warrington accepted the league trophy on behalf of the ROSE & CROWN STARLING and Paul Gardner received the knockout cup for the STOPES TAVERN

Finally a word from Phil Musgrove :- In the cold light of a sober day after the night before can I add a few thanks.

To KIERAN'S WIFE Helen who scored and asked questions and is MORE THAN good enough to play, (camera shy last night).

To Amanda and her less BEAUTIFUL half DENNIS magnificent hosts at the ROSE & CROWN STARLING along with GORGEOUS Sue and the rest of the hardworking staff who are the behind the scenes members of the Rose and Crown Starling QUIZ team.

We would also like to thank all of the teams in the league for a good season and no team provided easy opposition, we found all teams to be worthy opponents.

A big thanks to SIMON for stepping into the league breach and putting up with my weekly reports although 29 points handicap in the cup ! Pah!

Thanks to Alec for the web site it probably takes up more time than running the league on a weekly basis.
