Another interesting night judging by all the comments received, Ramsbottom Cricket Club Started off badly and it got even worse slipping to a 19 point defeat however every cloud has a silver lining The Cricket Clubs won the beer leg a few more clouds and rain could have stopped play!!
Radcliffe cricket club must have been wishing for clouds as they lost by 21 points to The rampant Coach & Horse's it is beginning to look like That they are bolting away with the league,St Mary's scored a notable win at The Royal Hotel by 10 points, meanwhile at Rose & Crown Stars, who were entertaining The Rose & Crown Ramsbottom in what has been described as "The most Biased & difficult quiz" two of the home side nearly threw the towel in at half time and threatened to go for an early bath, however they relented and The Rose & Crown Starry eyes won by a single point! However at the Hairy Hounds who were playing The Stopes Tavern if The Rose & Crown team were wanting to go home at half time then The Stopes team should have left after the 1st round! the scores after round one Hairy Hounds 2 (2 bonus points)The Stopes Tavern 0! However Stopes rallied on with the aid of a real ale named Dormouse and were in the lead by 1 point at one stage in the game but in the second half The Dormouse ale had its affect and Stopes started to behave like a Dormouse and faded to a 10 point defeat!
