Bury & District Quiz League Week 6

Results were a bit mixed this week. The Radcliffe CC v Stopes fixture was reversed due to cricket club AGM, but it did not stop the Cricketers reverting to their usual over 50 score. Mind you the Stopes did not help themselves,picking the wrong one of two choices so many times. We can only hope our luck changes after the Christmas break. Speaking of Christmas please do not forget our get together at St Marys Social Club on Monday 22nd December, the hosts are setting a quiz, there will be a hot pie and peas supper and a raffle to raise league funds. Can each team please bring a raffle prize, a bottle, present etc. If any team is unable to attend this event please let me know so we can reduce the catering numbers - and save money!
Back to this week, the Shoulder won a very close match with the Rose Starling, nip and tuck until round 7, but the Rose have slipped back 2 points behind the Cricketers. The Dungeon A lost out to Rose Rammy by 6 points. The newcomers to the league Dungeon B are improving their scores, and maybe getting a little more used to the format. The Hairy Hounds seem to be finding their paws with their 1st score of 50.
