Bury & District Quiz League Week 7

Before reporting on last nights fixture I would like to mention for the eagle eyed of you that the outstanding fixture of Ramsbottom Cricket Club V Coach & Horses was played last week & the league table updated, the fixture ended with an emphatic win for the Coach & Horses by 25 points 38 to 63 again the coach are galloping away in the league, on to last nights games again another night with not much comment but with 4 of the teams scoring 50+ so another agreeable quiz, The Rose & Crown Starry eyes lost against the galloping Coach by 5 points, in the the 1 day match between the Cricket Clubs Ramsbottom ran out winners by 9 points must have been revitalised after the their previous defeat, At The Royal their encounter against The Shoulder of Mutton ended with The Shoulder wining by a 10 point margin, In the game between The Hairy Hounds & St Mary's the Hounds won by 3 points a close shave no doubt, finally at The Home of Quiz's The Stopes boys lost by 4 points mainly due to an uneven stick or twist round when the Stopes could not remember the name given to french fries by the Americans therefore ensuring the Stopes had their chips, also aided by a question master who had put the wrong teeth in and found difficulty in pronouncing the Latin & French phrases!!
