SECRETARY'S COMMENTS
Well, here we go again, I trust everyone is rested & raring to go?? & a happy new year to you all.

1st up, The Hare & Hounds vs Stopes Cricketers, way to close to call as the 3rd placed Hairy Hounds took on Phils Cricketers. Two rounds in & its even Stevens at 13 across & following 2 full houses on Rd 3 it was neck & neck at 21 a piece. This is where it remained at the half way stage, as it went from feast to famine with 2 blanks in the stick or twist round.

It continued in a similar knock for knock vein for the next 3 rounds & lo & behold its level-pegging again at 42 as they entered Rd 8 & it went down to the very last question with only one point seperating them in favour of Stopes. A blank from Ian\\\'s Hounds gave Phil\\\'s Cricketers the valuable 2 points to keep them on the tails of the leading pair....& relax, that was close!!!

Stopes Roses up next vs the early pace-setters & title challengers, St Mary\\\'s. I suspect from the previous games scoring, that the Hounds went second, as we did & in an almost identical pattern of scoring we went into the stick or twist Rd 1 point down at 21-22, unfortunately, we drew the blank, falling over on the second question, we gambled on Protein, it was Fibre!*^? & St. Marys stuck on the 4th question, to take 4 points for a 21-26 lead as we headed to the bar.

We only managed to claw back 2 points as we entered the final round trailing 43-46 & it was game over for the Roses as we drew another blank round, jeez that was a tough final leg!!! or was it just us?? Final score 43-53, well played Enid, Ian, Harry & a their new secret weapon, whose name I\\\'ve forgotten (sorry)

Another tight tussle down at the Dungeon A, who entertained the leagues leaders Shoulder of Mutton. If anyone was going to de-rail the impressive challenge of the unbeaten visitors, we could depend on Sue, Mike & gang to give it their best shot & boy did they come close.

Unfortunately no scoresheet to allow me to waffle on (remember you can txt it as an attachment or send it via whatsapp or in an e-mail) but with an oh so close scoreline of 48-53 in favour of the Shoulder, it was business as usual for the runaway leaders.

I\\\'m still short of the RBL vs Dungeon B game, does anyone know the score??

Next weeks table topper is St. Mary\\\'s vs The Shoulder. This is a must win game for the homesters, if they are going to recover lost ground, so no pressure then?

I\\\'m still smarting from drawing 2 balnks in one game.....Where\\\'s the Whiskey Hazel?? MAKE IT A BIG ONE!!!
