Sorry for the delay folks, those Pesky Tinternet Gremlins have hijacked our website this week & thanks to sterling work from Alec, we are now back on line.
Following their recent wobble, the Shoulder were right back on track & registered the high score of the night, dispatching their genial hosts, Dungeon B by 40-58 RBL are still in search of the elusive 1st win, when it comes, I'm sure their season will take-off, but they were soundly thrashed by an on form Dungeon A 41-54 Phils Cricketers against St. Mary's, another game too close to call & a potential Banana Skin for the current leaders. This game went all the way & the homesters breathed a sigh of relief as they took the spoils, care of a slender 49-46 win. After the closest of games 2 weeks earlier, when we were narrowly beaten playing 2 handed, revenge was foremost on the minds of the visitors. A full house in Rd2 gave us a slim 2 point lead at 13-11 & winning the next 2 rounds by 2 points afforded us a 6 point half time lead at 23-17. Like last week, we went mental in the 2nd half & piled on the points to widen the gap round after round & registering a very healthy 32 points gave us another win in our faltering season, a final score of 37-55, giving us our best win over Ian;s Hairy Hounds for many years & a satisfying nights work for the visitors. This maybe in vain, but can I remind RBL as the home team, you are responsible for sending in the result, if this is proving too difficult, please ask your visitors to do it on your behalf. & can I remind ALL teams, that the Christmas Quiz is only 2 weeks away, please can you confirm numbers ASAP for catering purposes. |
