SECRETARY'S COMMENTS
|
A slightly lob-sided quiz this week lead to some big winning margins & it certainly went in the favour of Steve & Co at the Shoulder.
With the most emphatic win of the night, lets start at the top. The league leaders emphasized their current worthy high status by rattling up an impressive 67 points at home to St Marys 32 & off the top of my head, the highest tally so far this season. Their Halo is shining brightly, but for how long??
The Stopes Roses were entertained by the leagues new-comers RBL B & honours were even during the 1st half. As in our 1st encounter, they hit a wall after the break allowing us to pull away & register our best score of the season, running out comfortably at 52-25. Keep plugging away guys, that elusive 1st win is surely just around the corner.
In the absence of a scoresheet, I am not sure how the scoring panned out in the Cricketers v RBL A game, but boy was it close, divided by a single point. You can relax now Phil. The Cricketers remain the favourites to upset the Shoulders Applecart, so keep up the pressure & don't stop biting their Heels.
Ian's Hairy Hounds went daft at home to the Dungeon & battered them in a very one sided game which was almost won by half time. Leading 28-10, the Hairy Hounds found the going to their liking & the Dungeoneers were left licking their wounds on the wrong end of a 53-29 scoreline.
Can I remind any Teams who haven't already paid their Subs, that they are now overdue. Please make every effort to get your payment of £50.00 to Margaret ASAP.
